Strengthening the MIRRI Italian Research Infrastructure for Sustainable Bioscience and Bioeconomy

SUS-MIRRI.IT implements the Italian distributed Research Infrastructure to preserve, systematically investigate, provide, and valorize microbial resources and biodiversity.


SUS-MIRRI.IT unites over 20 microbial domain Biological Resource Centers (mBRCs), culture collections, and research institutions across Italy. It plays a crucial role in supporting the bioscience and bioindustry sectors by streamlining access to a diverse array of top-notch microorganisms, their byproducts, related data, and various services via a centralized platform. It places particular emphasis on serving the fields of Health & Food, Agro-Food, and Environment & Energy.
